Developing Resilience

How well are you coping with stress? Do you spend time actively thinking about your wellbeing, or does life often feel like you're running in circles, like a hamster on a wheel?

Developing self-awareness is key to noticing the small changes in your emotions and reactions before they snowball into overwhelming stress or burnout.

In this workshop, we will dive into the various ways stress and anxiety manifest and explore essential strategies for managing our emotional, physical, and social wellbeing.

Content (2.5 hour session)

One key tool we'll cover is the Stress Bucket model, which visualises how our capacity to handle stress can overflow when the pressures of life accumulate. The goal is to understand how to "empty" this bucket by balancing stressors with activities that renew and recharge us.

We'll also introduce time mapping, a practical way to reflect on how you're currently spending your time and where you can make shifts to prioritise renewal over stress.

As leaders, it’s crucial that we manage our own wellbeing first in order to effectively support others. Building resilience is not only about handling pressure in the moment but also about reducing the number of stressors while increasing the number of renewers—activities and habits that help us recover and recharge.
